Anna Marie Island

Anna Maria retains that “Old Florida” hidden gem and laid back beach town charm on a level further down the “food chain” from busier Siesta Key. Beaches are smaller than Siesta Key and also beautiful facing the Gulf of Mexico and Anna Maria Sound too. Lots of funky small town vibe and high end award winning eateries like The Beach Bistro and, on the fish and chip red & white tablecloth end, there’s The Rod & Reel located at the end of a pier with incredible views. Anna Maria has a small town feel with beach bungalowy stores and homes in abundance.

If you enjoy bicycling, Anna Maria is quite nice for cruising around leisurely. Lots of people seem to have golf carts they use in place of their cars. There is a free trolley service and taxis too for getting around as options.

If you’re looking to relax in a small town with a unique vibe, Anna Maria must be on your list.
